In autumn, Michigan is a grand place to be. I was able to plan and execute travel from Chicago to Kalamazoo, then on to Lansing and finally to Traverse City. In Kalamazoo the assignment was the Western Michigan University ‘Valley Dining Center’. A interesting project with my client, Stuckey Construction Co. out of Waukegan IL. providing and installing colored cement panels, floating along the exterior. Truly a beautiful design element on modern instututional architecture.
In Lansing and Traverse City, the client Mulvanny G2 Architecture out of Seattle, WA. designed two additional Costco Warehouses. One might think the stores are cookie cutter but they aren’t. Exterior finishes, textures and materials all play a part in creating a welcoming sight on site.
